The Old Main 150 Fund

Old Main with 150 logo

Old Main has a special place in Widener/PMC history and in the hearts of our alumni. The Old Main 150 Fund has been established to ensure that this iconic building stays in top repair for generations of students to come.

All gifts to this fund will be used entirely to support Old Main in honor of the role it has played in the lives of Widener and PMC students for the last 150 years.

Multiple naming opportunities have been created in Old Main, allowing you to make a gift to name certain spaces within the building. You may name a space for yourself, your family, friends, classmates, faculty members or anyone else. Plaques will honor not only the named individual, but also historical uses of these rooms.

Gifts to name spaces range from $2,500, to place a former resident's name next to a second or third-floor dormitory room, up to $150,000 to name the current President's Suite (formerly the Assembly Hall and chapel).

Donors who make gifts at naming levels will be contacted by Development staff to confirm details of their gifts.

Gifts of any amount are welcome, and all donors above $250 will receive a print of Old Main, suitable for framing.  Gifts may be made over up to five years and may be made outright, through estate commitments, through charitable gift annuities, or through IRA distributions.

For more information, contact Brian Lewis, Director of Annual Giving, at or by phone at 610-499-4113.
