Widener University Alumnus Jack Dwyer ’78

Widener University announced a $10 million gift from alumnus Jack Dwyer ’78 and his wife Nancy Dwyer to name the new Jack & Nancy Dwyer School of Nursing — the largest gift in Widener’s 204-year history. Jack Dwyer, who built a career in healthcare financing, indicated that their gift stems from a desire to support nursing professionals who are “the backbone of the whole industry.”

Widener Commonwealth Law Alumnus Douglas M. Wolfberg ’96

Widener Law Commonwealth celebrated its 35th anniversary at a gala in Harrisburg with over 340 alumni, faculty, students, and friends. During the event, alumnus Douglas M. Wolfberg ’96 and his wife Tina donated $250,000 to name the law school’s courtroom the Douglas M. Wolfberg Courtroom. In his remarks, Wolfberg reflected on legacy and giving back, highlighting how generosity can transform students’ lives.
