Build the Pride: Scholarships & Financial Aid
The opportunity they deserve. The responsibility we share.
- Our mission is vital, but it doesn't come cheap. In 2020 alone, financial aid and scholarship commitments to our students came to $73 million—an enormous investment for Widener, especially in light of our relatively small endowment of $95 million.
- Our work would not be possible without you. 95% of our students receive some sort of financial aid—most of which comes directly from Widener. The $1.25M we receive from donors each year is the equivalent of a $25M endowment distribution.
- This year, the need is even more urgent. The pandemic has created economic insecurity for our students, damaging the job market and increasing their debt. The stakes are higher than ever before. Please give what you can so they can keep rising.
