A Community United, A Record Shattered

On April 8, Widener University's fifth day of giving, Roar4Widener, became something more than a fundraiser: it became a statement. Alumni, current students, families, faculty, staff, and friends all came together to invest in the future of the university and the students who call it home, producing record-setting results in every measurable category.

Participation stretched across all three Widener campuses, and donors directed their generosity toward the causes that matter most to them. Support flowed to academics, athletics, scholarships, student experience, emergency support, career readiness, and experiential learning to elevate student success.

Throughout the day, challenges made possible by generous donors helped to energize participation by gamifying the day and providing additional funds for victorious programs, sports, scholarships and academic units in each challenge as donors ROARed with support.

That generosity adds up to something real: students who can focus on their studies instead of their finances, programs that grow stronger each year, and a campus experience that prepares graduates for lives of purpose and impact. Every gift, at every level, will make a difference.

Widener's two-century history is built on the commitment of those who believe in its mission. The results of Roar4Widener are a direct reflection of that commitment, and a powerful reminder that when the Pride community acts together, students win.
