The Student Philanthropy Council (SPC) is an organization of dedicated student ambassadors who are passionate about the impact of philanthropy on student success and supporting the Widener experience for future generations of students to come. This council aims to engage in activities that promote the importance of supporting initiatives that enhance the educational journey for current and future students. SPC members also have the opportunities to gain additional leadership experience by planning and executing philanthropic initiatives on campus, fostering connections with alumni/donors/university stakeholders, promoting student success, and enhancing their resumes through developing transferable skills in communication, teamwork, and event management. Among additional priorities, the SPC will assist the Development & Alumni Engagement Team at various events throughout the academic year such as Homecoming, Days of Giving/Gratitude, Roar4Widener, and more.
