Student Stories: Sienna Miller

In the fall of 2023, we asked several current students to tell us a little bit about their experiences here: what made them choose Widener, how they felt about that experience today, and how well they felt we were preparing them for their next steps.  Sienna Jade A'isha Miller, a class of 2025 Social Work major, was one of the students who shared their responses.

At Widener, I've been able to find myself and feel more confident in who I am as a person and as a professional. I've been put in leadership positions which really pushed me to believe in myself and everyone in the Widener community has been very encouraging.

Through the social work program, we do a lot of service learning where we work alongside the community and apply our knowledge firsthand. After coming here, I've become more than just an academic; I'm becoming a professional who is confident in the work that they're doing. While I'm still in my Junior year, I've grown so much as a person, and I truly feel that every bit that I'm learning here is so genuinely helpful.

I'm incredibly thankful for all my professors and the way they have fostered me so much thus far as a student and as a professional that I feel ready for whatever is to come.
